What the TEAS math section covers
The TEAS 7 math section has 38 questions (4 of them unscored) in 57 minutes, about 90 seconds a question. A basic calculator is built into the test, and you can't bring your own. The questions come from two areas:
- Numbers and algebra: fractions, decimals and percents, order of operations, ratios and proportions, equations and inequalities, and word problems.
- Measurement and data: unit conversions (metric and US), area, perimeter and volume, and averages, medians and reading data.
How the free test works
- 20 questions covering both areas, in about 30 minutes.
- At the end you get a score for each topic, so you know where to spend your study time.
- Every question has a worked solution, including the trap answers test writers like to use.
- No account needed. Your progress is saved in this browser if you leave partway.
Why worked steps matter
Most TEAS math misses aren't about hard math. They're a percent divided by the wrong number, an average that ignores group sizes, or a perimeter used where the question wanted area. Seeing each step makes those mistakes easy to spot and easy to fix before test day.
